ServiceConnect

ServiceConnect is a digital channel that enables quick and simple access to Defence services from outside and inside the Defence network.

ServiceConnect is transforming delivery of services across Defence and will continue to expand as more Defence services are added over time.

Services

ServiceConnect provides simplified access to Defence services and information.

  • My Australian Defence Exports
    • Apply to export or supply controlled goods, technology or services
    • Submit foreign work authorisation requests. 
  • My Base
    Access base information, maps and contacts relevant to any Defence base in Australia.
  • My Forms*
    Find, submit, track, and approve digital forms that pre-populate user information.
  • My Service Request
    Submit minor estate upkeep and base service requests.
  • My Travel*
    Complete international travel budget calculators for yourself, someone else or a group.
  • Personal information requests
    Request and receive Australian Defence Force members personal information.
  • PostingConnect^
    Support ADF members and their nominees through domestic postings that include a removal.

* For security reasons, My Travel and some forms are only available to users with a valid Defence email address.

^ This is only available for invited Posting members and their nominees. Defence members will need to verify that they have a valid Defence email address to access outside of the Defence network.

Access outside of the Defence network

Access ServiceConnect outside the Defence network using the Australian Government’s trusted Digital ID app, myID. 

Setting up a myID

There are 3 steps to set up a myID.

  1. Download the myID app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store to a compatible smart device. Only download the myID app from these official app stores as non-genuine versions may be available from other sources.
  2. Open the myID app and follow the prompts to enter a full name, date of birth and personal email address.
  3. Verify 2 Australian identity documents, such as a passport or drivers licence. ServiceConnect requires at least a Standard identity strength.

Login steps 

After setting up a myID, follow these steps to login to ServiceConnect:

  1. Return to this web page.
  2. Select the 'Continue with Digital ID' button on this page.
  3. Select myID as the ID provider.
  4. Follow the instructions shown on-screen and on the myID app. 

Access inside the Defence network

Login to the Defence network and either select the ‘ServiceConnect’ icon on the desktop or search for ‘ServiceConnect’ on the intranet.
