1 Fleet Base West – Fleet Support

Join the highly skilled Navy personnel providing support to the Royal Australian Navy’s west coast fleet.

Location: Rockingham, WA

2 Fleet Base East – Navy Sea Ride

Spend time at sea in a surface combatant or amphibious ship of the east coast.

Location: Sydney, NSW

3 HMAS Cerberus

Join Navy’s newest recruits as they undertake their initial recruit training and progress to specialist employment training.

Location: Mornington Peninsula, VIC

4 Naval Aviation, Officer and Combat Survivability Training

Engage with Navy’s emerging leaders as they undertake initial training and witness Navy’s aviation capability.

Location: Jervis Bay, NSW 
Duration: 3 or 5 days

Participants: 4 per activity.

5 Army Aviation

Join Army’s rotary wing pilots and gain an insight into the Army aviation capabilities.

Location: Holsworthy, NSW or Townsville, QLD
Duration: 3 days

6 Army Aboriginal Community Assistance Programme

Work alongside the soldiers and local community as they deliver a range of vocational skills and training programs to the Torres Strait communities.

Location: Torres Strait, QLD

Participants: 3.

7 Regional Force Surveillance

Unit participate in an on-country patrol with one of the Regional Force Surveillance Units as they conduct remote area, land and littoral surveillance, and reconnaissance activities in Australia’s North and North West.

Location: Darwin, NT or Cairns, QLD 
Duration: 5 days 
Dates: Flexible dates during spring recess

8 Jungle Training Wing - Exercise Regional Warfighter 6

Join soldiers as they conduct basic and advanced jungle warfare training in terrain typical of the South East Asia or Indo-Pacific region.

Location: Tully, QLD 
Duration: 3 days

Participants: 3 per activity.

9 RAAF Base East Sale

Engage with Air Force’s emerging leaders as they undertake initial training and observe trainee pilots in the Pilatus PC21 turboprop trainer.

Location: East Sale, VIC 
Duration: 5 days

Participants: 2 per activity.

10 RAAF Base Amberley – Amberley Air Show

Observe a variety of aircraft, which ensure Australia’s air combat capability is maintained. Attend the Amberley Air Show, including aircraft flypasts, and military working dog displays at the ADF’s largest base.

11 RAAF Base Williamtown

Join the aviators responsible for flying and supporting a variety of aircraft including the F-35A lightning 11, Hawk 127 and the E7A Wedge Tail Airborne Early Warning and Combat aircraft.

12 Edinburgh Defence Precinct (RAAF Base Edinburgh)

Gain an insight into the Air Force’s intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities.

13 RAAF Base Wagga Wagga

Join Air Force’s newly recruited aviators as they undertake their initial military training.

14 RAAF Base Darwin / Curtin

Be part of the flying operations from a remote airbase in support of Exercise Talisman Sabre.

15 Exercise Talisman Sabre

Experience the largest multi-lateral combined training activity, involving thousands of troops on land and sea.

Location: Townsville, QLD

16 Operation Resolute

Join the ADF members protecting Australia’s offshore maritime interests aboard a patrol boat and costal surveillance aircraft.

Location: Canberra, ACT and Darwin, NT

17 ADF Space and Cyber Domain Operations

Gain an understanding of the challenges faced in these rapidly evolving warfighting domains. Participate in hands on activities, which deliver this capability.

18 ADF Logistics Operations

Join the diverse workforce delivering Defence logistics across multi-tiered security environments, including support to ADF operations, commitments to allies and regional partners.

Location: Canberra, ACT and Regional Joint Logistics Command sites 
Duration: 4 days 
Dates: Flexible dates during the winter and spring recess periods 
Participants: 4 per activity.

19 ADF Peace Operations Training Centre

Join the multinational students participating in elements of the United Nations pre-deployment training focussed on military, police and civilian members deploying in support of United Nations missions.

Location: Canberra, ACT 
Duration: 3 days 
Dates: Conducted between, 26 to 30 Sep 2025 
Participants: 4.

20 ADF Malaria and Infectious Disease Institute

Gain an insight into the staff and work conducted at the world-recognised centre for infectious disease research and training. Visit the Soldier Recovery Centre to engage with professional staff and soldiers undergoing treatment.

Location: Enoggera, QLD
