Shortform Goods template is based on Form SP020, which contains the standard terms and conditions under which simple procurement is conducted by Defence. Its use may be appropriate following an approach to the market using Form AC565 - Request for Quotation. Shortform Goods template contains the same terms and conditions as Form SP020, but also includes a clause limiting the liability of the Supplier.

Shortform Goods template version 2.4 incorporates the following changes:
- new provisions to align with 1 July 2024 updates to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, including the introduction of the Commonwealth Supplier Code of Conduct
- new Australian Standard for Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) Clausebank optional clauses for procurements subject to the Australian Skills Guarantee Procurement Connected Policy
- a reduced threshold for mandatory consideration by officials of the economic benefit of a procurement for the Australian economy
- implementation of the revised Defence Cost Principles
- various other updates in Defence policies and commercial standards.
In addition, minor typographical and grammatical changes have been made, along with updated weblinks and references.
