Ceremonial support request

Refer to Guidance for ceremonial support requests prior to completing the request form.

Requests for Defence ceremonial support must be submitted at least 12 weeks before the event to allow sufficient time for processing. A separate request is to be submitted for each event. Events separated by time or location must be submitted as separate requests.

If the ceremonial support request is within the 12 week lead-time, please make contact with the respective State / Territory Joint Operations Support Staff (JOSS) office to discuss possible support options.

Requests can also be submitted well in advance of the 12 week lead time. Whilst this does not guarantee Australian Defence Force (ADF) or Cadet support for the event, it does allow time for planning on behalf of the ADF and Cadets to ensure the ceremony is a success.

Once a request has been submitted successfully, an automated email response will be sent to the requester to acknowledge receipt. If an automated email response is not received, or the request form is unable to be submitted, please contact the relevant JOSS office. 

Please be patient during high volume periods while the request is being processed.
