The Department of Defence is holding six public information sessions to provide information and seek feedback from the community regarding the proposed new and upgraded facilities that will support the transition from the existing Lockheed AP-3C Orion aircraft to the Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft.
The proposed works are subject to approval by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Public Works, which conducts inquiries into such matters prior to making a decision. The community information sessions will provide information to the public in advance of the Committee’s formal inquiry.
