Training Areas- Range Live Firing Target Equipment (RLFTE) Maintenance - DOTAM

Range Live Fire Target Equipment is procured by Infrastructure Division through projects sponsored by the Services. Deep maintenance is performed by Estate Upkeep and equipment is operated by Estate Maintenance and Operation Services staff. Maintenance is provided to ensure a long service life and high levels of availability and reliability.

Directorate of Operations and Training Area Management (DOTAM)

The Deputy Secretary Estate and Infrastructure (DEPSEC E&I) is the Training Area Management Authority (TAMA) for all training areas. DOTAM manages DSRG range and training areas on behalf of the TAMA. Guidance is provided by Training Area Capability Advisors (TACA) as outlined within the DTAMM. DOTAM also facilitates access to non-Defence training areas (NDTA).
