PFAS Investigation & Management

HMAS Albatross
In June 2018, Defence completed a detailed environmental investigation into the presence of PFAS on and in the vicinity of HMAS Albatross.

All findings of the investigation are available on the publications page, including detailed reports and factsheets.

Defence has used the findings of the investigation to develop a PFAS Management Area Plan. This plan informs the activities Defence will undertake to manage, monitor and reduce the risks of PFAS exposure on, and around, the Base.

Investigation Timeline

More information about the investigation stages is available on the investigation and management process page.
