Overview

The United Nations Military Observer course (UNMOC) is a prerequisite for Australian Defence Force personnel deploying on international United Nations missions as United Nations Military Observers, Military Liaison Officers or Military Advisers. The course is only available for ADF personnel identified for UN deployments

Course is suitable and recommended for Australian Federal Police or Australian Public Servants who will deploy within a United Nations field environment.

  • UNSOC session 1: 12 – 28 May 2025
  • UNSOC session 2: 15 September – 1 October 2025

Learning outcomes

The training prepares personnel for roles as military experts within multi-national or United Nations peace operations.

English Language Skills (ADFELPS L6, S6, R6, W6; IELTS L5.5, S5.5, R5.5, W5.5)
