Materiel Logistics Function provides integrated product support (IPS) services, through product support framework, to ensure readiness and operational capability of the product, its support systems, subsystems and components throughout the phases of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS).
The function is developing the IPS Management System to support 'speed to capability' through an agile and resilient management approach that contributes to the integration of Defence's support systems.
The IPS Management System will integrate supportability functions across ODCS phases, align with the Engineering Management System, and ensure organisational clarity, business readiness, competence and performance. This will introduce greater discipline through an assurance framework that focused on effective risk management reassure government optimised against capability outcomes.
