Environmental Incident Reporting and Management Guideline

The Defence Environmental Incident Reporting Guideline provides guidance on the environmental incident management process and requirements.

The Garrison and Estate Management System (GEMS) is used for capturing, collating and interpreting environmental and heritage data, including environmental incidents. GEMS is the mandated risk governance and reporting tool for incidents with environmental impacts.

For those that have access, environmental incidents should be entered directly into GEMS, following the reference guide below. Alternatively, complete the Report incident form below and email to segservicedelivery.edsdusersupport@defence.gov.au.
