Objectives

The Base Services Transformation Program aims to redesign Defence base service contracts in order to:

  • Provide services consistent with what is more broadly available across the community.
  • Improve engagement between the Defence workforce and base service providers.

Program updates

Base Services Contact Centre - November 2024

Previously, Defence announced an intention to release a single stage open tender for Base Service Contact Centre (BSCC) services as part of the Base Services Transformation Program (refer to AusTender notice NOT/SEG/BSTP/2024/1C). After careful consideration, Defence has decided not to proceed with the planned tender.

Following a thorough review, Defence has concluded that a delivery solution integrated with existing Defence contact centres is better suited to Defence's operational and strategic objectives. As a result, no Request for Tender will be issued for these services.

Defence acknowledges industry’s interest and engagement and extends an appreciation for these contributions.

There is no guarantee that short-listed organisations will be successful in Stage 2 RFT procurement to deliver base services. Parties that approach any organisations on this list do so at their own risk, cost, and discretion.
