It's an oasis.

The process of identification for this image is based on the geospatial intelligence tradecraft of spectral exploitation.

This image is a multi-spectral (MSI) four-band colour image that is being displayed as a false colour composite. The four bands in this MSI are red, blue, green and near-infrared. False colour composites have the bands displayed in non-literal ways in varying complexity. This particular false colour composite has the near-infrared band displayed as red. This method of band exploitation is used to display chlorophyll in living plant matter as bright red.

In the centre of this image is water, surrounded by healthy vegetation, bordered by desert. Based on this identification, we are seeing not just a desert, but an oasis.
