AGO STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Cadetship Careers

The AGO STEM Cadetship Program is an exciting entry-level employment pathway for high-performing undergraduate students currently studying a relevant science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM) tertiary degree.

The STEM Cadetship program is open to Australian undergraduate university students who:

  • are currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate degree (including Honours/Masters) or are eligible and agree to undertake an Honours/Masters degree as part of the program
  • attain a minimum credit average (GPA >5 on a seven-point scale)
  • complete a minimum of 60 work placement days with AGO per commencement year, and
  • prepare and provide a research report, and deliver a presentation on a research project upon completion of their work placement.

Program deadlines

Applications for the 2021 program are now closed. 2022 AGO STEM Cadetship Program applications will open in early 2021.
