The Australian Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Plan is the Government’s public statement of intent for the GWEO Enterprise, setting out its objectives, initiatives, resources and operating principles. The Plan aligns with the direction in the 2024 National Defence Strategy and the Defence Industry Development Strategy, within the budget allocated in the 2024 Integrated Investment Program.
The Plan is the Government’s blueprint for delivering a transformative uplift in Australia’s defence industrial capabilities, with the aim of building on Defence’s GWEO stocks, strengthening supply chains and supporting a domestic manufacturing capability.
The Honourable Pat Conroy MP, Minister for Defence Industry and Capability Delivery, launched the Australian Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance Plan on 30 October 2024.
