About the base
Brindabella Business Park is home to Defence personnel across all Groups and Services. Defence shares the park with other Government Departments and companies in the private sector.
Access
Building access is via authorised swipe access with a Defence Common Access Card. Access request must be sent by the security officer of the building unit to be granted authorisation.
All visitors whose cards have not been granted authorisation for building access must be escorted by residents of each building at all times. Visitors should contact the representative of the area they are visiting in order to gain a Visitor Pass and escort.
Carparks are public access and there are no pre-arranged parking options for visitors. All visitors will need to pay as signposted with parking fines issued by local authorities.
Staff parking is managed by the ACT Office Amenities team. All enquires need to be directed to the ACT Office Amenities Mailbox.

Sirens will communicate information about the base security status and procedures.

Evacuation | ‘whoop, whoop, whoop’ tone + evacuate, evacuate, evacuate’ voice command | Exit building and assemble at predetermined assembly area. Remain at assembly area and await further direction. |
Disperse | Rapid short 'beeping' tone + 'disperse, disperse, disperse' voice command | Rapidly move away from mass gathering and maintain awareness. |
Lockdown | Rapid short ‘beeping’ tone + ‘lockdown, lockdown, lockdown’ voice command |
Follow the CLOSE procedure.

Stand down | Low-pitched ‘buzzing’ tone + ‘all clear, all clear, all clear voice command | Resume normal activities. |
