Military aircraft noise enquiries or complaints can be provided using the options below. Please provide detailed information about the incident, including date, time and type of aircraft if known, in order to assist the investigation.
Enquiries will receive a response within 10 working days. Complaint investigations will be initiated within 2 working days, and resolved within 28 working days.

Complaint investigations
If a complaint requests or requires an investigation, it will initiated within 2 working days or receipt of the complaint.
The investigation will be carried out to determine if the aircraft was operating within the relevant procedures and guidelines. As part of this process, opportunities to improve military aircraft noise issues are explored and, if practicable, implemented.
During the investigation Defence may contact the complainant to clarify the details of the incident. The complainant will continue to be kept informed as the investigation progresses. An investigation may take up to 28 working days to resolve.

Aircraft Noise Ombudsman
If unsatisfied with how the aircraft noise complaint was handled, an independent review by the Aircraft Noise Ombudsman can be sought.
