About STLHC
Stirling Health Centre includes medical and dental departments and provides support to the Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit (SUMU) located at the Submarine Escape & Rescue Centre (SERC).
Located approximately 45km South of Perth (WA), HMAS STIRLING has a 4 km causeway that connects the island to the mainland of Rockingham.
Services Offered
STLHC is a quality managed facility and provides the following services:
- Outpatients (Sick parade, dressings and vaccinations)
- Limited inpatient facilities (day only)
- Medical appointments, including referral for investigations and specialist consults
- Pharmacy services
- Radiography services
- Physiotherapy services
- Dental services
- Mobile Dental Unit (MODU) field and Ships alongside support capability
- Rehabilitation coordination and follow up support
- Medical support services to SASR and Fleet Units alongside, including Limited support to visiting Ships from other Navies
- Emergency Response (Ambulances and Medical Staff) to attend incidents on Garden Island
- Medical support as required by Command
- Medical Officer and Medic support to SERC as required, and support SUMU – West

- Medical Officer and Medic support to Fleet and STLHC as required.
