Aerodromes

The Aerodromes (or Airfield Engineering) team is responsible for technical aerodrome design policy that is not included in the Airworthiness Design Requirements Manual. Policy areas include Aeronautical Ground Lighting and Aircraft Pavements.

Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL)

The Aerodromes team sets policy on the design and management of AGL systems across Defence aerodromes. AGL policy should be read in conjunction with broader Defence electrical engineering policy, available at the Electrical Engineering page.

Aerodrome Policy

The Civil Engineering Section (CES) responsible for aircraft pavement policy and advice. CES is the approval authority for aircraft pavement concessions for all sealed ADF airfields.
