On 2 October 2019 the One Estate Framework was endorsed by the Enterprise Business Committee and is now transitioning into its implementation phase.
The One Estate Framework is the term used for the Defence estate asset management framework. In general terms, it describes a hierarchy of interlinked artefacts that contribute towards the achievement of Defence’s organisational objectives through achieving value from its estate assets. The One Estate Framework was developed over an 18 month period during 2018-19. The project included the following stages:
A Program Management Office (PMO) is currently being established to deliver and monitor the implementation of the One Estate Framework. The PMO will lead the change management function, deliver the appropriate communications and awareness, provide project management support, and monitor and report on progress. Implementation of the One Estate Framework is expected to take 3-5 years.
