ADF Job Search Preparation workshop

Due to COVID-19 arrangements Job Search Preparation workshops are presently only available in virtual format.

Want to learn more about how to manage your career, sell your skills and experience or build your resume to capture your military skills? The Job Search Preparation (JSP) workshop is open to all ADF members at any time throughout their military career and you do not have to be transitioning to attend.

The virtual JSP workshop is delivered via webinar over four 2-hour modules:

  • Module 1: Career Insights
  • Module 2: Personal Branding (Resume Development)
  • Module 3: Networking & Job Search
  • Module 4: Preparing for Interviews

You will also receive access to an online platform with a library of resources to support your career planning.

ADF members are considered on duty for the purposes of participating in a JSP, including virtual workshops. Release to attend is subject to command approval.

There is approximately one hour of pre-course work to complete prior to this workshop which is to be completed three days prior to the workshop date.

Nominations close 10 working days prior to commencement of the workshop.

Modules run for two hours each and are scheduled at various times for member and family convenience from home or a portable device through Adobe Connect. You cannot access Adobe Connect through the Defence networks.

If you are an ADF member and would like to attend a workshop register your attendance through CAMPUS - just search ADF Job Search Preparation and select ’National’. If you do not have access to CAMPUS register your nomination by emailing adf.transition@defence.gov.au.

Partners may attend subject to availability. If you are a partner and wish to attend please by emailing adf.transition@defence.gov.au.
