This Archive contains past series and publications by the ADC. They cover issues ranging from management practice and its applicability to higher management within Defence and other government agencies, regional and global security, professional military education and training, and military history.
The Australian Defence Force Journal was the official journal of the Australian profession of arms from 1976 to 2018. It promoted discussion, debate and critical thinking on a wide range of issues facing the Australian Defence Force and remains a useful resource for contemporary thinkers and students on Australian defence and strategic thought, policy and concerns.

This range of papers reflects coursework and research submitted by Australian and international students of the Defence and Strategic Studies Course. The papers have been chosen for publication based on their scholarly attributes and strategic relevance. The topics of the papers relate to Australia’s area of primary and enduring strategic interest – the Indo‐Pacific region – and present analyses and assessments that concern Australia’s policy interests.

The Indo-Pacific Strategic Papers were published between 2014 and 2017 by the Centre for Defence Research on behalf of the Centre for Defence and Strategic Studies (CDSS). The papers reflect the coursework and research submitted by Australian and international students of the Defence and Strategic Studies Course through this period and were chose for their scholarly attributes and strategic relevance.
