ADF Transition and Civil Recognition

COMADC Introduction

MAJGEN Mick Ryan Portrait

Skilling the workforce is critical to the success of any workplace. The Australian Defence Force trains to meet its mission and capability, producing highly skilled, professional, loyal, innovative and dedicated individuals and teams. Defence veterans consistently deliver high quality results to the best of their collective and individual abilities.

Defence recognises the professional mastery, intellectual edge, unique
skills and broad experience transitioning veterans bring to civilian employers. The ADF Transition & Civil Recognition Project, residing within the Defence RTO at the Australian Defence College, was established to ensure transitioning veterans receive appropriate vocational education and training (VET) skills recognition for their time in service.

The Project provides veterans with VET advice and support, as well as an RPL pathway to gaining relevant civilian accreditation commensurate with their skills, training and experiences. We aim to ensure veterans
understand their vocational value and have their transferable skills accredited as they transition to civilian employment.
