HMAS SYDNEY FLIGHT ReturnS Home to HMAS ALBATROSS
WHAT: Family and friends will welcome home HMAS SYDNEY’s Helicopter Flight to 816 Squadron at HMAS ALBATROSS.
WHEN: Thursday 28 August 2003 The aircraft is due to land at approximately 1.00pm Media should arrive no later than 12:45pm
WHERE: HMAS ALBATROSS. Media will be required to sign in at the main gate, and will be escorted from that point.
WHO: Five of the Flight members will be onboard the Seahawk when it returns home.
HMAS SYDNEY Flight will return to 816 Squadron at HMAS ALBATROSS after five months absence on Operation Catalyst, the ADF contribution to the rehabilitation and stabilisation of Iraq. The Flight consists of one Seahawk helicopter, four aircrew and ten aircraft maintainers, led by LCDR Shane Craig. The crew are looking forward to spending some well deserved time with family and friends.
