PEOPLE’S LIBERATION ARMY
GENERAL CHEN’S VISIT TO AUSTRALIA What:
There will be an opportunity for the media to film and
photograph Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Chief of General Staff,
General Chen Bingde who will inspect the Australian Defence Force Federation
Guard.
Where: Forecourt between R1 and R2, Blamey Square, Russell. When:
Thursday, 15 October 2009. Media should assemble at 0830
for a 0855 start. Background: General Chen
Bingde is visiting Canberra to participate in Australia and China’s annual
Defence Strategic Dialogue with the Secretary of Defence and the Chief of the
Defence Force. Media Note: No interview
