The Australian Kookaburra Kids Foundation supports kids living in families affected by mental illness. The program provides recreational educational camps and other activities, giving kids a break, in a fun, positive and safe environment. Kids have the opportunity t meet other kids in similar families and develop new friendships.

Amberley Defence Communities (ADC) is a group of Defence spouses and members, who aim to help families integrate into the community and offer opportunities to meet other Defence families.
They aim to help by offering opportunities to expand social and professional networks by hosting family fun days, coffee mornings, partners dinners, playgroups and events throughout the year.

Ipswich City Council is conducting free orientation tours for new residents in the City of Ipswich.
Moving into a new area is very exciting, and to help you settle in, Ipswich City Council would like to invite you and other members of your family to join us on anorientation tour of Ipswich.
During the bus tour we will point out some of the great attractions and facilities of our City and tell you about the developments being planned for our rapidly growing population.
Tour times: The tours will depart from the Council car park, 45 Roderick St, Ipswich at 10am and return 12.30pm. Parking is free.

Do you like to help people? Do you like to meet new people? The Defence Special Needs Support Group is seeking volunteer for Amberley local Coordinator position. You don’t have to have special needs in your family to be a DSNSG volunteer Coordinator, just a willingness to help your fellow Defence families by putting on a coffee morning now and then, linking into local services and supports and occasionally organising a family day. Coordinator training is provided.
